‘Get benefits of the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah’

Shaikh Ahmad Narui, the interim Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, talked to tens of thousands in the Grand Makki Masjid about the great virtues of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, the last Islamic/lunar month.
He began his discourse by reciting the initial verses of Al-Fajr chapter, putting the first ten days and nights of Dhul-Hijjah a golden opportunity for Muslims to get more and more benefits from the blessings of Allah.

Alluding to Hajj days, the great Muslim pilgrimage in Makkah and Medina, the senior teacher at Darululoom Zahedan said, “Dhul-Hijjah has some unique virtues; the important part of Islam, Hajj, can be performed only in this month. Allah Almighty has put some worships obligatory in Dhul-Hijjah. In this way, the obedient servants would gain the mercy of Allah.”

Mawlana Ahmad pointed more saying that Muslims who could not take part in the virtuous worship of Hajj would not remain deprived from the blessings of the Almighty. Many sayings of the beloved prophet, peace & blessings be upon him, suggest there are countless virtues in days and nights of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. For instance, observing fast on A’rafah, ninth Dhul-Hijjah, has been equated to fasting of the entire life. Worshipping Allah at nights of the first decade of Dhul-Hijjah equates to the worship of Allah in Lailat-ul-Qadr, the Night of Destiny in Ramadan.

He underlined some rulers in the world announce pardon of some prisoners yearly on any special occasions; while the real King and creator of the entire universe always pardons His slaves. Whenever, mankind repent definitely Allah pardons. In these days, Allah Exalted pardons more than other days.

The assistant of Darululoom Zahedan’s rector urged saying, “As good deeds entail Allah’s pleasure, disobeying of Him causes anger of the Sublime. Only dull and lethargic people neglect benefits of the golden opportunities in Dhul-Hijjah.”

After elaborating ruling on the sacrifice, Odh’hiya, and its conditions, the interim Khateeb of the Grand Makki Masjid pointed to the coming Eid al-Adha, “This Eid will start Friday; both Eid and Friday prayers should be offered. These are two separate worships and divine commands. No one must miss any of the two rituals.”
