‘Good deeds; requisites of neat life’

Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi began his recent Friday sermon by recitation of holy verses: «مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ وَمَا عِندَ اللّهِ بَاقٍ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ الَّذِينَ صَبَرُواْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ*مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ» [النحل:96- 97]; reasoning the recited Qur’anic verses, he termed all worldly divine gifts destructible and temporal.

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah pointed, ‘Holy Qur’an, that is rich in purifying messages, has warned mankind; whatever you have is not durable, and what is with Allah Exalted is everlasting. It can be comprehended from the above-mentioned verses that Allah (SWT) has bestowed His servants two things; the first one is related to this mortal world and life, this sort of blessings is perishable. Allah says that each and every worldly blessing is to be over one day; tongue, eye, ear, hands and legs, youth, wealth, friends and relatives, and all such things are earthborn. Such blessings will be finished any day. So the man who loves such ephemeral things can not be a wise person, because he observes always their decline.’

Talking thousands in the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan, the eminent Sunni scholar addressed the worshipers saying that eternize those mortal blessings by utilizing them on the path of success and prosperity. Wealthy people can do so by spending on correct and good ways, otherwise their riches will be owned by others after the demise.

‘Get the benefits of your money, youth, health and power in this life storing them for the Hereafter and immortal life. Do it before it is late. When anyone donates for the sake of Allah Almighty, in fact, s/he stores his/her wealth at Allah’s court,’ he underlined.

Mawlana Abdol-Hameed further stated that “good deeds” will be stored for mankind; people can reach to a clean and pure life in this world only throughout good deeds. In order to have good and correct deeds, everybody should seek refuge to Allah from Satan.

Houla massacre is barbaric and unbearable

Khateeb of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan indicated to recent savagely genocide in “Houla”, an area of Homs in Syria, in the second part of his speech putting it a “barbaric” and “unbearable” act.

Shaikh Ismaeelzahi added more, ‘Homs has given lots of sacrifices and casualties for upheaval. But what the entire world had watched from Houla was very heartrending; some miscreants slaughtered dozens of children in a very savage way. Sane people can not bear such fierce scenes; what was the crime of those kids? Children should be treated by mercy and love, not massacring aggressively. It is the extreme point of genocide and atrocity.’

Criticizing the international communities over silence on such barbarities, he stated that it was so regrettable that the UN and powerful states had preferred to remain silent and inactive despite observing ferocity of Syrian regime. The power-holders must strive to stop ongoing violence in Syria. It is marvelous that a Muslim watches those pathetic scenes without any tear and making Du’a to Allah.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed called on the audience to pray to Allah for oppressed Syrians, may Allah root out the culprits behind such aggressive acts and remove them from history.
