Baluchistan: Sunni Dignitaries Reprehend Vilification of Shaikh Abdul-Hamid

IRAN, SARAVAN- The leading Islamic scholars, chiefs of tribes, academians and youths of “Saravan”, “Sib-Souran” and “Zaboli” have castigated the recent affronting incident to Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul-Hamid by some ultra-bigoted elements in a joint statement released lately.

The prominent scholars and elders of other societies announced their firm solidarity with Shaikh Ismaeelzahi and reputed Sunni centers, Grand Makki mosque and Darululoom Zahedan, supporting his activities, stances and demands for the Sunnis’ due rights in Iran.

Meanwhile, senior teachers at “Ain-ul-Uloom Gosht,” an eminent Sunni seminary located in the vicinity of Saravan, Baluchistan, announced their robust support and agreement with Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed, rector of Darululoom Zahedan and Khateeb of the Grand Makki mosque in Zahedan, Iran.

The statement is incepted by Holy verse:
«وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا یَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنَّمَا یُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِیَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِیهِ الْأَبْصَارُ».
“Never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers are doing. He is but giving them respite up to a day when the eyes shall remain upraised (in terror”(.

The statement avers that in each era some opportunists, seeing their status at stake, strive to defame others and avert positive views of people about the famous persons.

‘In current time, some biased elements in the province have been making efforts to vilify defenders of Islam and its ministrants; such people have no any status in society, they show themselves supporters of the regime who devoted their lives in service of nation and in defense of Islam from intrigants!’ they added more.

The issuing joint statement from three cities of Baluchistan urged that whatever had taken place in “Khash” by the name of “Insight & Enlightment”, where a provincial official insulted Shaikh Abdul Hameed and the Grand Makki mosque, was an open example of the above-mentioned movement that has not left any stone unturned to calumniate the Sunni community.

The statement of the outstanding personalities further added, ‘We announce our loyalty to the regime; but we never can sit silent over baseless blames on our Islamic scholars and religious leaders, particularly, vilification of Shaikh Abdul Hameed, may Allah protect him, and we want an investigation into the recent flouting meeting in Khash by the Supreme Leader and other officials.’

The statement quoted Sunni activists emphasizing, ‘We herald openly our support and solidarity with all scholars and sincere Sunni activists, especially Shaikh Abdul Hameed Ismaeelzahi, the Grand Makki mosque and Darululoom Zahedan. Because, we believe that whatever Shaikh Abdul Hameed demand from the tribune of Grand Makki mosque in Zahedan, all are the due and legal demands of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Iran. Follow up and insistence on those demands are the things we all want.’

Previously, prominent scholars, tribal elders and Islamic teachers of Zahedan and Khash decried the Khash insulting meeting in separate statements and gatherings.
