Sunni Khateeb of Khaaf Passes Away in Mashhad

MASHHAD- Molawi Khaaja Ghaws ad-Deen Ahrari, khateeb of Sunnis in Khaaf city of Khorasan, Iran passed away on Wednesday 21st Sep. 2011. He was 80.

According to received reports from Mashhad city, capital of Khorasan, Shaikh Ghaws ad-Deen Ahrari was under treatment in Imam Reza Hospital of Mashhad. He departed this mortal world on 21st September, 2011.

He was imam and khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna in Khaaf, eastern Iran since 1972. Besides, he was a senior teacher at Hawza E’lmiya Ahnaf Khaaf, an active and reputed Sunni seminary in Khorasan.

Shaikh Ahrari was born in 1933 and studied initial books from his father, Khaaja Sadr-ud-Deen, former khateeb of Khaaf.
