“SunniOnline” has reported that khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Taibad was summoned to the Special Court for Clerks in Mashhad, east Iran on January 23, 2011 where he was detained. The prominent Sunni scholar of Khorasan remained in jail for seven months and released by pledging a bail of 100 million Tooman on previous Sunday, 21st August.
It is notable that Shaikh Muhammad Fadheli is one of the eminent and popular religious ulema of Khorasan province in Iran, the security authorities had asked him to resign and leave the minbar for a pro-government khateeb before his detention which caused tension in the city.
