‘Islam ensured Kindness to parents more than other religions’

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Iran, Shaikh Abdul Hameed enlightened the status & importance of parental rights in Islam in his latest Friday speech on 10 June, 2011.

Talking to tens of thousand worshipers in grand Makki masjid, Mawlana Abdul Hameed said, ‘As Islam emphasizes on protection of animals, environment, and the human rights in general it pays especial attention to parental rights more than any other religion over the whole world in particular.’

He added more that it is impossible for a person to be successful in this world and the next world without caring the rights of Allah Almighty and His slaves. The greatest right of Allah is Tawheed, oneness of Allah and not making any one/thing His partner.

‘After Tawheed, the number of human rights comes where parental rights are mentioned after the Allah’s oneness. More than one place Allah Almighty stated to do good with parents, not to rile up them, even do not say them ‘uff’ (this is a littlest distressing saying to some one); rather speak with soft words and make du’a for them with seeking forgiveness,’ he added.

The eminent Shaikh emphasized that according to the Qur’an and Sunnah ‘Shirk’ is the biggest sin and disgrace of parents is the next largest sin. It is enough sin for entrance of a person to the Hell. Going for preaching, da’wah, getting knowledge and jihad without permission of parents is unlawful. Only sons can go for ‘Fardh Ain’ Jihad without parents’ permission.

Shaikh Abdul Hameed ended his speech by saying that annual functions of graduates in Sunni seminaries of the province have a good affect in the peace situation of the region. No one needs to be worried in this regard.

Indication towards the baseless blames of some extremists over getting funds from some foreign countries, he added more, ‘We do not receive any sort of aids from any country. We believe that masaajid should be built by funds of masses not governments who pursue their interests.”
