‘Sunnis condemn targeting of downtrodden masses in M E’

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran has criticized dictatorship, which rules over some countries in the Middle East and North Africa, where dictators adopt the policy of targeting of innocent people in order to strengthen and prolong their term of rule.

Talking to tens of thousand worshipers in the grand Makki mosque, Shaikh Abdul Hameed said that recently erupted public movements in the region are against the dictatorship, injustice and oppression; we also extremely condemn suppression of peaceful public protests by selfish dictators.
The prominent Sunni leader talked over the Libyan issue and called Col. Qaddafi a ‘crazy’ man who opens fire on the oppressed citizens ruthlessly. He asked the audience to pray to Allah for the downtrodden Libyans and all Muslims that may He protect them from Qaddafi and all other mad rulers who want to remain in power by any way.
Shaikh further pointed out, ‘Some dictators intend to enjoy lifetime and endless power, they try to hand over the rule to their sons and favored parties after their demise; they should remember the ultimate of Yazeed who killed dozens in Karbala but did not remain enjoying power for ever. These rulers must accept the public demands; massacre of disarmed demonstrators is not the solution.’

The divine punishment should not be forgotten:
Khateeb of Sunnis indicated towards the statement of Tokyo’s governor over the latest earthquake and Tsunami in Japan and said, ‘When I heard that the governor of Tokyo classed the Japan earthquake a divine punishment, I appreciated it; no doubt such disasters are the fruit of people’s misdeeds and not pertained to visible scientific causes completely. Understanding this point is so important.’
He expressed his wish and hoped that Japanese may return towards Allah after witnessing such wrecking punishment and ponder more about it.

Morality is one of the best teachings of Islam:
The eminent Sunni scholar talked about the Islamic moral and social relations in his first part of Friday sermon after recitation of the verse 134, sourah A’l-e-Imran.
He urged that morality and good comportment are very significant in Islamic point of view. The prophet Muhammad (صلی الله عليه وسلم) is the messenger of morality. He said that his prophecy was for the supplementation of moralities. His best behavior and character is an ideal role model for everyone.
The venerable scholar emphasized that Islam has been disseminated by the sword of moral not the ferrous saber. Muslims conquered hearts of people by the powerful sword of morality and they impressed the world. The new civilization has been derived partly from the bright teachings and moralities of Islam. Sorry to say that now adays Muslims are backward in this regard, they should develop their morals.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan, the largest seminary of Sunnis, abetted the audience to pardon others and further said that if some body misbehaves or causes a loss, instead of confrontation and reprisal you should forgive, though revenge is a legal right but amnesty is the sign of greatness. Shaikh Sa’di (May Allah mercy on him) said that nemesis is easy but if you reply a bad by good that will be a great answer.
Mawlana Abdul Hameed pointed that some people believe on “double revenge” and they give penalty of “stone” by “bullet”, it is quite injustice and forbidden.
